Implementing Next Generation Automotive Communications

چکیده
In-car electronics plays an important role in many automotive applications, such as, for example, steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, and is expected to gradually replace mechanical or hydraulic means to control these systems. The number of electronic components in a car has therefore significantly grown up, thus leading important implications on the vehicle engineering process. In particular, in-car networks used to interconnect electronics equipments are a key point. While in the past extensive use of wiring was a common design practice, nowadays, for the sake of reducing the vehicle weight and fuel consumption, in-car bus networks are largely adopted. This paper points out current automotive communication standards, i.e., CAN, LIN, Byteflight and MOST, together with upcoming automotive communication standards, namely, TT-CAN, TTP and FlexRay. The work focuses on discussing open issues with the current FlexRay

متن کاملThe Possibilities of 5G Communicationusing Xampling Process
In this paper we are going to explain about the working of 5G communication and its scope. By using Xampling method we can perform the processing of signals for high frequencies. We are proving it by using Mat-lab Software Tool. We performed the experiments by using the theoretical formulas and implementing them in the MatLab Software GUI Tool. Weare generating the signals by using the formulas...
متن کاملPoster: Physical-Layer Key Generation for Automotive Cyber-Physical System Security
Modern automotive Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) are increasingly adopting wireless communications for IntraVehicular, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) protocols as a promising solution for challenges such as the wire harnessing problem, collision detection, and collision avoidance. Regrettably, this new trend results in new security vulnerabilities that can put the s...

Ultra wideband (UWB) communications is one of the most promising recent developments in wireless world for high-speed applications as shown in figure 1. In addition, the use of millimeter-waves has allowed in recent years the development of wireless communications: unlicensed short-range (57 – 64 GHz), outdoor semi-unlicensed point to point links (71 76 GHz, 81 86 GHz, and 92 95 GHz), automotiv...

The communications protocols utilized in the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) have been in use, essentially unchanged, for more than 10 years. With more than 100 EPICS sites worldwide, there is increasing justification for performance and functional upgrades, but with a paramount requirement to remain backward compatible with the existing user base. The future viabilit...
